  1. Wendy,

I'm sorry we missed you for our synchronous viewing of presentations tonight! Skype required a contact name, and we didn't have yours.

We viewed your presentation though! I especially liked your use of moving slides throughout the presentation. What software did you use in creating your presentation? I missed being able to move slides in the program I used. I also liked your use of cartoons, to keep the presentation light-hearted. However, some of the slides seemed very blurry.

I wondered about the use of slides labelled "motivation" on them. These appeared to be commercial creations, and may require special permission for use.

Overall, I enjoyed your presentation! Best of luck in the remainder of your graduate program!

  2. Wendy, It was great to actually "see you." The first thing I enjoyed about your video was the guy on the couch -- as I sit here sprawled out on the couch with yet another snowstorm going on outside. Afraid the guy didn't look too much unlike myself. I sometimes don't know where I've been all my life (other than stuck in snowstorms) -- I was delighted to learn about andragogy. THANKS!!

  3. Your topic was very interesting. Motivation is such a hard characteristic to give someone if they don't already have it themselves. I would like to believe that we are all a highly motivated bunch of people or we would not be working on an advanced degree. Motivated in academics atleast, I can't quite motivate myself to get to the gym :) I liked the clapping at the end. After I published my project I thought of that and it really does work for the video. Great attribute!

  4. All of the posters and images that I used were from Microsoft clipart online and subject to the free public us`e policy. Thank you, though, for your concern. ~Wendy

  5. I used a MacBook computer which comes with a built-in camera and microphone. Additionally, the computer comes with an iMovie application that makes creating movies easy. Personally, I prefer MAC computers over pc's for educational purposes. I'd rather drive a MAC.

  6. Hi Wendy
This is Mayumi from your class. I really enjoyed your video. First thing I thought during and after I watched your video was that you use audio aspects very well to make impression of the topic you chose. You utilized different types of music matches the scene. Also, at the end, you had a cheering voices which reminded me the purpose of presentation, welcoming the key note speaker.
Also, as others commented.... your sense of humor in a guy on the couch made me interested in the topic.

Motivating others is a never ending topic for educators.... very deep topic and I cannot imagine any other person than this speaker who would fit into the topic of motivation well. I did not know that he was a co-founder of pixer movie. Their movies always make people smile and have a great sense of humor too.
Thank you for sharing your topic and video

  7. Very nice touch Wendy. I like the way you changed your music through out your presentation. Your graphics and topic information made me understand your material. Motivating learners of any age is difficult. You did a great job!
